‘NEPAL YATRA 2020’ ART EXHIBITION KICKS OFF AT NEPALESE EMBASSY LONDON

September 21, London.

On the auspicious occasion of the National Day of Nepal, Ambassador of Nepal to the United Kingdom HE Dr. Durga Bahadur Subedi inaugurated the week-long “Nepal Yatra 2020” art exhibition at the Nepalese Embassy, London.

On the first day of the opening of the exhibition, artist P. Singh was felicitated by the Ambassador amid a function held at the Embassy among a small number of Embassy staff, maintaining social distancing measures. 

“We are very proud to have Artist P. Singh’s paintings exhibited at the Embassy and it indeed is a great moment to recognise his effort to promote Nepal in the United Kingdom”, said the Ambassador of Nepal to the UK His Excellency Dr. Durga Bahadur Subedi. 

‘Embassy of Nepal, London is hosting ‘Nepal Yatra 2020’ art exhibition from 18-24 September with an aim to promote Nepal and Nepali culture through paintings of artist P. Singh’, he added. 

The artworks exhibited include acrylic and watercolour paintings capturing Nepal through its breath-taking landscapes; architecturally rich ancient temples/monasteries; portraits and traditional costumes representing diverse ethnic groups. 

“The exhibition attempts to raise awareness of the country and share its beauty”, said Artist P. Singh, a Software Engineer by profession who paints at his leisure time as his favorite hobby.
